About Us
Candle for Tibet is a unique campaign.
It is a true grassroots movement that has started on the internet and quickly broke out of it to the real world. It was started and is financed by David Califa, a private individual from Tel Aviv, Israel, who coordinates it with the help of volunteers from all over the world. It is non violent and non profit, and its budget is just a fraction of what is used by other global movements. Its achievements are definitely not.
It has no administration. No spokespeople. No relations with the media. It has people.
People like Jens Mügge and Simone Lau from Germany, Qristina and David Cummings from the USA, Ank from the UK, Shibayan Raha from India, Rui EV from Portugal, Ayla Roble from spain, Dominique Cloutier from Canada, Brigitte Rieke from Sweden, Edna Contreras from Mexico, Uri Yehidi , Eyal Slonim and Josh Aylat from Israel, Siwaku Jiro from Japan, Simona from Lithuania and Asbjørn Antonsen from Norway, are just a few out of hundreds that share the vision that united we can make a difference. and work tirelessly on making it happen.
We could have never made our voice clear to all in the world without our dedicated translator pool .
We believe in the tremendous power of the people when uniting together to make a true change in the world. This time it is for Tibet and for freedom. The next step could be any other goal the people choose. After the "Candle for Tibet" campaign we will announce the next campaign.
We will be happy to answer all your questions, so feel free to ask us anything!
